I love fan clubs. In particular, nerd fan clubs. Case-in-point; legendary world-wide Star Wars fan club, 501st Legion. Last year they heard that little Star Wars fan, Katie Goldman was being bullied at school, for bringing her Star Wars back-pack and water bottle to school!Star Wars fans united, not just to support Katie's love of Star Wars, but also to combat bullying at school. This year, they haven't forgotten Katie. To show they're love and support for their newest Star Wars fan, they scratch-built this Storm Trooper outfit, so Katie could Trick-or-Treat in style! The cost to Katie, $5.00! (They did have one caveat. Katie promised to return the suit to the club, when she outgrew it.) So the club could recycle it with Make-A-Wish children, in the future!
Check out the surprised Katie when she arrived with her Mom to pick up her Star Wars costume, and was greeted by this Imperial Honor Guard including Darth Vader! I love Fan-Clubs!
