Hi all Pat here, I read that Bernie Madoff was sentenced to 150 years! Yikes! . That works out to about $120,000,000 for each year...or ten million bucks a month.

You wonder what was he thinking, after the first, oh say 2-3 billion, "hmmm, if they haven't caught up to me by now, maybe they never will?" "Besides...whats a few billion between friends?"

Almost there!

Hi all. Well we're almost there. Here is a picture Toni took yesterday of the progress on the roof. Even as I write, the banging continues. They say they will be done by this afternoon.

In the picture, you can see the new White Roof on the top; and the old, black shingles on the bottom. The new shingles are the environmentally friendlier ones, so we qualify for a $1,500 rebate from the state. (Yeah!)

It's just a thought!

Good morning! I don't know why...but I had a dream about Disney last night, and it was so real! I dreamed my family and I had gone back to Florida for another Disney vacation, and that we we're given the keys to the city by the Disney Mayor. We opened the park, were ask to be the parade guest of honor!

Everywhere we went, they treated us like royalty. It sure made me think about going back there, and I started thinking, hmmm?

World Enough and Time

Good morning, (again)! I am sitting here in the office typing away as the pounding continues. (And yes, I mean outside, and NOT a reference to a splitting head-ache!)

So I am trying to console myself to watching fan films on the Internet and I thought, "hey, I bet I could post a link to one of my favorite Star Trek episodes ever." This is the trailer to a fan-film made a year or so, ago with an amateur acting cast, and with the appearance of the original Mr. Sulu, George Takei. It's amazingly like the original TV show, from 45 years ago. Watch it!

A Dog goes ROOF!

I don't know why I just posted that title? (I worked until 2:30 last night, and woke up at 8:00 a.m. when the pounding on the roof began anew!) Yup! The roofer's have returned.

Toni and I are having our roof done. Our house is 18 years old, and its time to redo our roof! So lucky me; Mr. Third-Shift, gets to wake up each morning to, BANG, BANG BANG! BANG, BANG BANG! BANG, BANG BANG! BANG, BANG BANG!

NOW ASK ME HOW THEIR DOING? "OH I'D SAY THEY'RE DOING A BANG-UP JOB! ;)

I'm "Charmed"

Well, it had to happen. I have been "Charmed". I am currently watching Season Two of the chosen ones. That's Phoebe, Pipper, and Prue. A friend asked me, "Well, if I was so into Buffy the Vampire slayer, why did I not also watch Charmed?" ...I replied, "I haven't seen it."

I have since sought it out and it turns out she was right. I am hooked on this TV show. Its a cute, sometimes scary, sometimes corny adventure show; where three sisters discover they are good witches, destined to fight the forces of Darkness!

What can I say, I'm charmed into watching!

100, but Who's Counting?

Hello to my seven readers! We at Pat on the Back, (and when I say "we", I mean myself!), are celebrating. Did the economy recover? Did Barack order ice cream for everyone? NO!

We're celebrating because this is the 100th installment of Pat on the back!

Happy Father's Day all! (especially Dad!)

Hi all...Pat here with a small update. Not much going on in the great (or not so great, if you read the news), state of Michigan! Went out last night with Toni to see UP! again. Great movie.
Chris came in Friday from Chicago with two girls in tow. Nice kids, Amanda and Jessica. Chris kindly gave up his room to one of the girls, so they could each have a guest room.

They go back to Cicago (Chicago) tonight! Happy, loud house this weekend! So Happy Father's day!

Slow News Day!

I have been working pretty hard at the newspaper, learning all the little tricks to publishing a daily. It is a lot of work. Did you ever wonder how the classified ad's are done? Or what those little numbers scrunched in the corner of ad's mean? Ask me; I can tell you all about them.

The best part of my job, is down loading the next weeks comics from the Internet. Yup! I get to read all the funnies before anyone else dose! Not much else to say right now except, "I'm missing family and want to visit again soon!"

Hi there! From time to time, I talk about my love of all things-Batman related! (I know I've also written about my love for amateur films.) Well, with out further ado; lets watch a clip of Lil' Batman. It's amazingly cute! ;)

A Day at Gene-O's...Oh What a Day!

Saturday, Toni, Chris and I headed out to Wynn and Gene's Lake House! Last year, Wynn and Gene purchased a little cottage on a local lake, about five minuets from our house. It has been fun, visiting them at their new home.

Gene, loves to cook, and is an excellent chef! Wynn, is a world-class-hostess, who always makes one feel at home. They are wonderful friends, and was a day made even better, by seeing more old friends, Jim and Lisa.

Between the boating, swimming, eating, drinking, it was a wonderful day!

Weekend's were made for Trekin'

Good morning readers. Just got back from running in the Cereal City race. Toni and I finished in 33:23! Not too bad for a 5K race. (That's about 11:00 a mile!) Now its time to jump in the shower. But, before I do, let me do a quick plug for the new Star Trek movie, (and a shameless promotion for my new Trek watercolor with a certain Captain of the Enterprise and his pal, Vulcan)!

Ah Wednesday! Have I not informed you, loyal readers, that Wednesday is Bob Day!

Well, every week I call my old friend Bob in Wisconsin. This has been going on now for a decade, since I moved to Michigan. Each week, Bob and I chat over coffee, about movies, TV shows, "the Packers", and all the trials and travails of life-in-general!

Here is a resent photo of Bob, while we attended a Pop convention in Detroit. (We were at the R2-D2 builder's club!) A group dedicated to building working robots like the one in Star-Wars! ~Cool!

Birdie Loves Toni!!!

Hi gang. Pat here with a late post. Aunt Birdie loves Toni! (Birdie, is Toni's sister!) Yesterday; Toni received a birthday package in the mail from Birdie containing not 1, not 2, but 3 Bon Jovi music video's! I'm sure Toni would love for me to sit and watch these video's with her. Now, I love my sister-in-law, but...

What's New(s) with You?

Hey friendly readers, Pat here with a early morning update. Just got home from the newspaper, and I thought I'd catch you up on what's been going on. Well...

Last weekend we had a brief but wonderful visit or three in Wisconsin. Saw my mom and dad, (missed Tim and Julia), saw Toni's brother, Jeff. Saw Rosie, Andy and Bob. Had a great time everywhere we visited.

So to all the folks who went that extra mile, A BIG THANK YOU!!!
Wow...that was bold!

UP for having seen it!

Hi gang! Just got back from seeing UP! What an incredible movie! I laughed, I cried, I got the biggest lump in my throat, either I'm getting more sentimental, or I saw a terrific film today.

(Probably both!) I can't say enough good things about this movie. Boy; can those Pixar folk's make a good movie!

Hey there...and good morning to you. I just got home from work, and thought I'd post a message before bedtime. (Yawn!)

Not too much going on. Chris and I still have to tidy up after the demolition on the shed. Haven't seen Toni since the weekend!

And I still haven't figured out what to get Toni for her birthday!

Well at least I have a decent card! I think I posted "Lilo and Stitch" before, but their so darn cute, I just had to show it one more time.

Rainy day, What to Do? Blog!

Hello readers. Patrick here with a Tuesday update! Not much happening today. It's rainy outside, so I'm doing a little laundry and drinking coffee with Christopher. Haven't gotten a chance to see Up yet. (I really want to but I'm working until Thursday, so I must wait!) (*Sigh!)

I know it will be great. HEY! I might come over to Wisconsin this weekend, just to visit. I want to see friends and family. Also its Toni's birthday, so I know she wants to see everyone! So, its not written into stone yet, but cross-your-fingers; I hope we can come! ;)

Shedding the shed! or (Shed no more!)

Hi readers, well its been in the planning stages for a long time, but yesterday, Chris and I finally did it! Yes. We tore down the old shed. Still got some work before us, but the shed is gone!

I am sore in places I didn't know I had. Chris seems to be fairing better! Toni is happy as a clam, we're one step closer to that Gazebo!
