12

OK! So I get home at 1:00 A.M. last night, and lo and behold-the Packers are on NFL network for a preseason game against the Cardinals. It was so cool.

I am convinced that Aaron Rodgers is the real deal. Is he Brett Favre, no! But how good is he? I think he'll take the Packers far this year. Time will tell. But I'm telling all the naysayers out there, this isn't a slam on Favre, we are just lucky to have someone as capable as Rodgers come into the Packers, just as Favre was leaving! ("And it's OK to like both of these guys"!)

3:00 A.M. Post

Yup! It's 3 in the morning, and your ol' pal Pat is still up. (What's up with that?) Well, I just got home from the Gazette and I'm still unwinding from work.

The best part of my job, is downloading all of next week's comics for the newspaper. (I get to read them before anyone else!)
My two favorites are "Mutts" and "Get Fuzzy"!

ah! ;)

Venture Brothers...I luv 'um!!

Hi readers, Pat here with a Venture Brothers update! The Venture Brothers is a Jonny Quest take-off, that spoofs the whole superhero/ spy/ adventure genre!
The fourth season of the Venture brothers is about to begin. Bob and I are speculating on what will happen to the family, now that their body guard Brock Sampson has left?
I laugh out loud, when I think of dialogue from this show. Its all-kinds-of funny! If you want to check it out, or have questions on just what I'm raving about, ask.
(And you shall receive, oh brother!)
Now, "Super runaway!"

Old friends in a new setting!!!

Hey readers, Pat here with a weekend update. Two of my oldest and dearest friends came up from Milwaukee, for a visit. Here is a picture of Rose and Andy digging the new gazebo!

I had a great, (But all-too-brief visit with the Badzinski's), but I hope they had enough fun to come and visit us again sometime.
P.S. Thank you for being such good friends! ;)

I Have Seen the Future...

Good morning all. Does anyone remember the Tom Cruise movie Minority Report? In the film, Steven Spielberg tried to depict all the new wonders of the 21 Century.
Well...I think we just got a step closer. This is real, and is going to appear in it's first American magazine this month...(with more to follow), I'm sure.
Check it out in this video, it a digital ad for...digital ad's! "I have seen the future, and it is video"!

Flyin' Pigskin Newz

Hi guys and gals...Pat here with some football news.
Yup...they went and done it.
The Minnesota Vikings signed Bret Farve to play on their team. The on again, off again Favre, has come out of retirement (again) to play football. Now, I'm a big Packer fan, and a big Favre fan, but there are just some things I cannot, I will not swallow! ("Well, at least until pigs fly"!)

Hong Kong (again!)

Hello faithful readers, well...it looks like I'm going to be making the trip to Hong Kong with Toni again in October. I hear they do Halloween up, BIG TIME!
I'm looking forward to the trip. It'll be very cool to see the sights, eat the food, meet with people. Best of all, I get a lil' quality time with Toni.
(Yes, Randa will be there too!) So there will be some fun!
Here's an oldie I drew of Mulan!

Thank you Les Paul!

Les Paul the pioneer guitar player from the early 1950's died today. He was 94. I am a casual fan of him and Mary Ford. I think they are highly under-rated, as far as their contributions to modern music. That big all-star band in the sky just got a little bigger. Thanks Les!

The New Casino

Hi all, Pat here with a Battle Creek Update! Yup! Battle Creek just opened up a new casino. The Michigan economy is totally in the dumpster, and they finally opened the new casino, so you might ask, how did they do the first week? Amazingly, they were packed to the gills, so much so that they are already talking expansion for next year.

The first week, they had almost a quarter of a million visitors, they were turning cars away from the parking lots, and the tour buses going into the casino were lined up for a quarter of a mile on Michigan Ave. (I guess money isn't a problem after all!)

I have a desire to try one or more of the restaurants out, but no desire to gamble. My luck is so bad, if I bought a funeral home, people would stop dying! But thats just me. Maybe your luck would be better?

Just a day away....

Hi all, Pat here. I have been working all week. Nothing happening at home since its only me and Chris. (Toni's been in Chicago all week for her annual meeting!) Very slow week news wise. I'll have my mac back up in a week or so, and I'll be able to scan some new pictures and paintings to liven up the ol' web blog.

Just got my invite to my niece's wedding in September! I look forward to seeing all my aunts, and uncles!

Music I'm listening too; Extended "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" by John Williams!
Talk at ya soon! ;)

ga-ze-bo

ga-ze-bo (ga-ze-bo, -za'-) n., pl. -bos or -boes. A small open-sided, roofed structure in a garden or park, that provides a shady resting place. [Perh. from Gaze + ebo, Latin future suffix as in videbo (I shall See).]

The above shall be amended to read; Gazebo, Toni's dream place to rest and relax in comfort. ;)
