Tale of the Humming Bird

Sunday night...Toni informed me that we had a "Humming Bird" flying around the garage!
Sure enough, a little humming bird had flown into the garage, and now in a panic, contiued to dart back and forth around the garage lost!

I left the garage door, as well as the entrance door along the side open until 10:00 p.m., but the little bird still hadn't figured it out and reluctantly, I shut the doors for the night. Monday morning, it was still flying around and around.

I pulled my van out of the garage, opened both the doors and now, also opened the window, and finally, by noon... finally the bird was free! So ended the tale of the humming bird!

China's Shenzhou 9

Hi everyone. Pat here. with a Space update. Not everyone is aware of the ambitious space program the Chinese are pursuing. Currently, the Shenzhou 9 space ship is orbiting our planet. It is to dock sometime between midnight Sunday and noon Monday with the Tiangong One Module.

Tiangong means "heavenly palace" in Chinese.  The news media, seem to center their attention to the fact that one of the crewmen on this mission is a woman. Liu Yang, 33, an Air Force Major and pilot. But I am more interested in the mission.

This is the first time the Chinese have docked with another space craft, and is one more step in the road, toward a moon landing. The Chinese goal is to land men from earth upon the Moon in the next decade. And for all the world, no one seems to notice.
