Hanging In There!

Hi guys...did you think I forgot about my blog? No! Just been working like the one-legged-man at the you-know-what kicking contest. (It ain't easy!) I been working too much, spending too much, sleeping too little, and that's just my Monday routine!

I'm off for today and tomorrow, then its back to work. Two days in a row, a don't know what to do with myself. Maybe I'll say hello to the strangers I'm living with, they seem vaguely familiar!

Music I'm currently listening too, Paul McCartney, "Fine Line".

Thinking about Comic Con

Hi all...Pat here with an comic themed update. This week in San Diego, the annual Comic Con convention is taking place. Its the world's largest Pop Culture convention of its kind, and darn it, I wish I was there. Every year I think of going...only to chicken out again and again.
One of these days, I am gonna' go. "I promise". Meanwhile I'm getting into a new comic called "Batman and Robin". The premise is; Bruce Wayne the original Batman has been killed, and Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Robin takes over as the new Batman. His side kick is Damion Wayne, the lost son of Bruce Wayne; who was raised by the league of assassin's to be evil, but was converted to the side of justice, just before the Batman died!
Its been written very well, and the art work is gorgeous! I told you I'm a big Batman fan!

Just back from seeing the latest installment of the Harry Potter films. Toni, Chris and I, loved it! I am a huge fan of the series, and I can't believe we're almost through the entire series.

"There is real magic in seeing this cast grow-up on film. I urge anyone who isn't a fan, go see them all, from the beginning; and discover the magic that is Harry Potter's world!"

Cold Snap!!

Hi everybody...Pat here with a chilly July blog. Well, Toni's friend Randa, just got on the plane at 12:30 our time. She arrives tomorrow at 2:00! (Man talk about jet lag!) Randa is Toni's good friend from Kellogg's Australia, now transfered to Mainland China. She's here on business, but staying with us!

Can't believe the cold weather we're having! I'm in long sleeves and blue jeans, and I'm still cold! Buurrrrrr!!!

May I Quote You?

Hello fellow bloggers, Pat here with a cute update. I occasionally get sent some terrific e-mails from family and friends, and when I do, I shamelessly put them on my blog! I recently received this from my dear uncle Joel " Boots"; (yes there is a story on why he's called that!), and I decided I just had to put it up. Enjoy~

LUCKY GUY! (That's me!)

Hi loyal readers...just a quick update. Yesterday, me and my sweetie celebrated our anniversary! (I won't post how long we've been married), but I'll give you a hint:

The number #1 hit song the week we got married was "Love Will Keep Us Together" by The Captain and Tennille!

(And they we're right!)

Chris and Company

Hi all...Pat here. *Phew!* Had a heck of a week so far. Chris had a good pal from school staying for an extended weekend, and she just left yesterday for the wilds of Illinois! Jessica, (pictured with Chris in their joint "gun pose"), is a fellow student at Columbia College. Chris and Jessica, are friends! Good friends.

(Just friends!) But she's a real friend, and it was a pleasure having here stay over for the 4th of July!
Things are settling down back to normal; (or at least for what passes as normal these days.) Now I'm preparing for Toni's pal from Hong Kong, Randa!
Hopefully my folks will be coming soon, as well as a visit from Rose, and maybe even my brother Matt! *Phew!* That's a lot of company!

Pottering away!

Hey there...Pat here with a Monday morning update. I've been buried in Harry Potter this weekend. I'm currently reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. (Yup! Getting ready for the movie premier!)
I should be all done reading the books by the time the movie opens next Wednesday. Toni is out of town on a business trip. She'll be back soon. *sigh*
Well at least I've got good reading to look forward too!

...and the Fireworks were Grand!

Hi all. Pat here with a 4th of July summary! "Wonderful! Simply wonderful!"
Toni and I went for a nice barbecue over at our friends, Wynne and Gene.
They had invited a bunch of us, to share some good food, play on their boat, and stay for the neighborhood's famous local fireworks. (Boy they were not kidding about the fireworks, either!) It was a fantastic day. Toni and I had a great time, and I have to thank Wynne and Geno...for being fantastic hosts. ~"oh...and the fireworks were grand!"

Happy for (4) you, too!

Happy Fourth of July to my 7 readers. (And to all the good folk of this land!) Pat here with a holiday update. Just got back from a run with Toni, she opted to run 7 miles with a running buddy, I choose to do a comfortable 5 with a couple of friends.

Chris has his friend Jessica, visiting (again)! They are travelling to Novi, to hook up with some other Columbia students for the 4th! Toni and I are going to Wynne and Gene's to spend some time on their boat, and maybe see the fireworks.

Work is about the same, and the new roof is done. So all is well. Take care and I'll write at ya' soon!

;)Pat
