My trip with Bob

Hi readers, Pat here again. Here is a glimpse of my vacation with Bob, and his family. We did Busch Gardens, Disney Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Universal Studios!
Here's a couple of pictures; first, is a group shot on my Birthday, having dinner at Planet Hollywood. Second, the gang in front of Hogwarts School of Magic, at the Harry Potter attraction in Universal Studios.
The people in the first photo are from left to right: Bob, Toni, Krista, Pat, Courtney (Bob's grand-niece), Louise (Bob's foreign exchange student), and Dianne!
We all had a terrific time!

I'm Goofy Like That!

Good morning readers! I'm back! Yes, I have made it, from my week-long trek to the Magic Kingdom. I also survived the amazing Harry Potter attraction at Universal Studios!
I just love celebrating my Birthday at Disney. (Having a million people wish you a happy Birthday, ain't a bad thing!) It was great fun.

And...the snow is back!

This morning as I drove to church, the streets were clean, and not a hint of snow. But about noon, the snow began. Within an hour, about 3" inches of heavy white stuff had already fallen. We now have 5" inches, and so now, the freezing rains have begun! <*Sigh!>

Hurry Spring!

I'll also get to visit with my Aunt and Uncle, Doug and Christine. Can't wait to get the party started! Disney....Ah!

'Til I Hear You Sing....

Good morning faithful readers. Pat here with a little music to brighten the day. A while back, I posted a blog or two about the sequel to "The Phantom of the Opera" show that Toni and I saw in London! Well, now I can offer you a small glimpse at the magic! Rammin Karimloo, star of "Love Never Dies", sings one of the shows magical musical songs; 'Til I Hear You Sing Once More.

Lost in Space

Well, here I go again and date myself as a old fogey! Once upon a time...when I was a wee small lad, one of my chief viewing pleasures on an old black and white Zenith TV; was sitting each Wednesday evening on CBS, watching "Lost in Space"!

I know now, how badly written and even more cheaply produced those TV episodes were. Yet, they still seem to bring a smile to my face. Here is a very brief video bit with three of its stars.
Let's watch!

New Guild episodes coming!

Good morning all. I am in a happy place right now, for I have just read on-line that one of my many guilty pleasures is prepping for a new season. I think I've mentioned my love for the Internet series the Guild before. It is a small, independent video production that has achieved a large following.

It's about a group of dis functional gamers, who have come together, and have amusing adventures in "real life". I love the acting company that produces these show's. Such good fun. They'll return this summer, with all new episodes...

Meanwhile, here is a music video they made last year, as a thank you to all their fan's. It's done in the Bali Wood style!

Victory at Sea

Wow! Two posts in one morning, BONUS!

I've started watching the TV Series Victory at Sea. A WWII documentary first broadcast on NBC way back in 1952-1953. It was a TV project conceived by producer Henry Salomon who was a sailor in the second world war. NBC approved the project with a budget of $500,000. (A LOT of money back in 1953). Salomon's team combed through 60 million feet of Navy achieve film to edit the 61,000 ft. of film used for the 26 half-hour episodes.

The music is still enjoyable, although I have learned that the Richard Rodgers music was really a score by Robert Russell Bennett. Rodgers wrote 12 short one minute piano cues, that eventually became the recurrent themes heard through-out the series.

Its still one of the best documentaries made on WWII.

Super Ad's from Superbowl

Good morning friendly readers. Did you see the Superbowl on Sunday? I know some folks don't really care too much for the game. Some people just tune-in for the Super hyped-up ad's that are created especially for the game. In case you missed them, here are all 61 ad's from the Superbowl, in just 2 minutes!

Super, huh?

I found this little gem today, and thought I'd share it with my faithful readers. Its a Superman animated cartoon, done by a Disney artist, as a project to entertain himself. I love these self-published films. Fun!

It's so snow right now!

Sorry gentle reader, its been a pretty snow, (slow), week around here. Sunday brings us to Super Bowl Sunday, so I expect things to pick up pretty quick! But except for watching the steady fall of the white fluff, there ain't a whole lot going on!

The good news is, the snow stopped! The bad news is...its still here! <*Sigh!> Guess I'd better go and shovel it!
