Star Wars ORG... to the rescue!

I love fan clubs. In particular, nerd fan clubs. Case-in-point; legendary world-wide Star Wars fan club, 501st Legion. Last year they heard that little Star Wars fan, Katie Goldman was being bullied at school, for bringing her Star Wars back-pack and water bottle to school!

Star Wars fans united, not just to support Katie's love of Star Wars, but also to combat bullying at school. This year, they haven't forgotten Katie. To show they're love and support for their newest Star Wars fan, they scratch-built this Storm Trooper outfit, so Katie could Trick-or-Treat in style! The cost to Katie, $5.00! (They did have one caveat. Katie promised to return the suit to the club, when she outgrew it.) So the club could recycle it with Make-A-Wish children, in the future!

Check out the surprised Katie when she arrived with her Mom to pick up her Star Wars costume, and was greeted by this Imperial Honor Guard including Darth Vader! I love Fan-Clubs!

Hey....TURKEY!

Well early this morning they we're back again, hiding, eating, hiding again. Yup! The turkey's came back this morning! They seemed to have adopted the game trail that runs along the edge of the farm field behind the house.

They are very cleaver, as they often walk in a spiral trail, cutting in and out of the tree's; but never more then one at a time. By the way. There was three turkeys; but they never got that close together. One was always a sentinel watching while the others pecked the ground! Take a peek!

How is the new car?

Family and friends are asking me, "how do you like your new car?" Its great! I am still
babying the heck out of it! Any little dirt smudge is immediately removed and cleansed. The gas mileage is good but not what the sticker claimed. I average 29.6 in the city..... and 30.9 highway!
(At least that's what the on-board computer tells me!)

Leaves be gone!

As I look out the back window... I'm awe-struck by the piles of fall leaves! They are everywhere. And yet, the tree's are still full of color! What gives? Anyway, looks like I'll be outdoors this weekend doing battle with the foliage. Wish me luck. (Oh yeah, the forecast is windy, chance of rain!)

The new car

I am pretty humbled today. Toni has gifted me with a new car. It is very nice. I am in awe of my lovely wife, you can do such acts of kindness and generosity.

It's an amazing gift.I'm a little scared to drive it out of the driveway!
