Back to Normal

Well things are back to normal around here. Toni got home from her trip from China last Thursday night. She finally is getting back to normal sleeping patterns after having a few sleepless nights and rather tired days!

I have raked, blown, lawn-mowed, and still.... the yard is full of leaves. (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?)
(*sigh), Still, it could be worse. Looks like we'll be heading out to Milwaukee again soon, to see friends and family! So all in all; life is good again in Michigan!

About last week...

Hi faithful readers. Pat here with an update of my days spent without my lil' Toni. As you know, Toni has been away traveling in China for the last two weeks. Fortunately, my ol' buddy Bob, came to visit last weekend, so I actually had some pretty fun days.

We visited the K'zoo Air Museum, and the Gilmore Car Museum. As well as visit Grand Rapids to see a BIG-SCREEN presentation of the classic silent movie, Metropolis! Always great to see Bob. Even better, when a friend comes to visit, just because he knows you are lonely!

Toni finally comes home Thursday night. Safe travels...I love you, Toni!

Update from home

Good morning faithful readers, Pat here. (All alone.) ;(  Toni's been very busy visiting various plants in China. She'll be gone another ten days. <*sigh> As you can tell, its getting me down. Not much new to report.  I've kept busy working in the yard, winterizing the house...etc. Hopefully, things will brighten up here soon. I'll keep you posted.

Yoda saves the (Wedding) Day!

Good morning readers. Pat here with a cute tale of Yoda, saving the day! I read a story this morning about an autistic girl called "T". She was terrified by the upcoming wedding of her mother, and as the day approached, grew more and more withdrawn. Her aunt told her she would get her a Yoda Backpack. (T loves Yoda!) She wouldn't go anywhere without him. T made it to her mother's wedding, and even had the courage to stand in as flower girl, thanks to the timely intervention of Yoda. Hey! Its what Jedi do. Save the day!

Turning over a new leaf!

Did I tell you about the leaf blower? Last Fall, I bought a leaf blower, after many years of battling the yard with just a rake and an attitude! But come the spring, I found that over the Winter, the bolts that held the blower onto its carrier, sheared off! (CRAP!) So after a few false starts, I figured out how to rehabilitate the stupid thing and Voila! 've got my leaf blower working for me again! (YEAH!)
