Surviving Winter.

Well the winter drags on here in Battle Creek!  How many of you saw the horrible traffic accidents that occurred on I-94? The winter snow removal has always been poor in Battle Creek, and has gotten worse over the years.  It came to a head that terrible day a few weeks back, and then; guess what, the roads started getting plowed?

Yup! All it took was a 190 car/ truck pile-up to get the politicians riled up enough to actually do something!

Toni, Chris and I, are surviving the winter fairly well. I've taken up a big project. I'm currently removing wall paper in several rooms, with an eye to repaint the rooms in early spring. Toni's working hard, as is Chris. We'll soon be taking some time off to go to Disney in Florida, so that will  make the winter a little easier to deal with!

Happy New Year... Pat here, with a quick note about Toni and my Phoenix trip!
In a word, nice! We spent a couple of lovely days in 50s-60s weather. Visited with Toni's sisters Birdi and Cindy, and enjoyed some lovely, ( and a few funny adventures)!
