Mmmmmmmmm, Culver's!

Hi readers of this friendly tome, Pat here, with a yummy update. Last week I wrote about sending packages through the mail. Boy, they must have gotten there really fast. Today, I got the nicest thank you card in the mail from my Aunt Gail. (She also sent me a yummy gift card from Culver's!)
Add to that, the nice call I received yesterday from my Aunt Sandy, and all in all, I'd say my year has already added up to a pretty sweet start! (No pun intended!)
Mmmmmmmm! Culver's!

The Secret

How many of my readers has ever heard of the book, "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne? The book is a study, of religions and philosophies handed down throughout the centuries. One of the tools used in practicing "the secret", is a vision board. The idea is, when you repeatedly see a picture representation, it reinforces the idea you have connected with it.

Right now on my vision board, there is a picture of Aaron Rogers, with Superbowl Champs written on it. I put it up there several weeks ago, as the Packers we're about to play the New York Giants.

I have lots of other pictures on my vision board....next time you see me, ask me about the secret!

Its in the mail!

How often do people say that? Honestly! Two quick mail-tales, today. A couple of days ago, Toni is opening mail, when she realised she opened a letter addressed to her niece Colleen. Now normally, she wouldn't do such a thing. Even when Colleen lived with us back in 2005!

She suddenly realised that the letter was dated '05. It's date stamp was '05! Only took 6 years to be delivered!

Now I told you that story, so you can understand why I am so apprehensive about sending things in the mail. Thursday, I sent out two packages to my aunts, Gail and Sandy! I hope they arrive early next week. Keep your fingers crossed! (Oh, and if they get there later), well...

Better late, then never!

Thank You For a Wonderful Time

Good morning faithful readers! Pat here, with a heart-felt, "thank you"! I had a terrific time last Saturday in Wisconsin. I got a chance to visit with an awful lot of people. So a quick shout out is in order.

Thank you to Jill, Matt, Eric, Mark. As well as Aunt Gail and Uncle Wayne. Special shouts of thank you, go out to Uncle Fred and Aunt Sandy. To my brother's Scott and Tim. To my sister-in-law Barb. To my nieces and nephews; Michael and Erin and her husband, Pete.

And finally a very special thank-you, to my Mom and Dad. You do so much for which Toni and I are truly grateful. We had such a nice visit. It's good to come home!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

(Oh yeah, GO PACKERS!)

Almost Saturday

Well Saturday is almost here, and I can't wait to see the good people of Southern Wisconsin once again. Lots of people to see, and lots to do. Especially, cheer on the Packers to another road game win!

GO PACKERS! (And congratulations to Clay Matthews!)

Go Pack, GO!

Every Sunday, I perform a ritual that shall continue throughout the play-offs. Just before Game time, I put on my Packer's jersey and watch the game.
There have been a couple of times, where I was driving back to Wisconsin, or doing some chore outside, and in each instance, the Packer's lost! (Now, don't go blaming me for their season up's-and-down's), I'm just saying!
Anyway, the Packer's play this Saturday night, and I for one will be rootin' for the BIG-GREEN-FOOTBALL-MACHINE! GO PACKER'S!

Toni's New Quilt

Last Friday, Toni said goodbye to her latest intern. She was surprised, when her intern told her; "I made you a little gift to remember me." She then presented Toni with this hand made beautiful quilt.

I was struck once again, and reminded how Toni's kindness and gentle handling of her employee's makes her so beloved. The quilt that Susan Peaco made, is beautiful. I know Susan will go forward and do great things in her career. I also know, she had a great mentor!

NOT...The Beatles!

Boy it sure is cold out side. Guess I'll whip up another vacation picture from Australia, while its still nice and warm in my memory. Here, Toni and I, have joined in, with a pair of aborigine musicians. We accompanied them to some "recorded" diggity doo music playing percussion!

A diiggity doo; is one of the four foot long tubes, hallowed out of a log, that make the deep rhythmic sounds, that often accompany religious significance for the native aborigine!

We were good! (But not the Beatles!)

New Year Evaluation and Review

Hi faithful readers. Pat here with a New Year update and review.

Each January, Toni and I, for the last ten years, have filled out short questionnaire's about the previous year, and our ambitious goals for the new year.

Questions like: What were the best memories of last year? What did we accomplish? What were our major disappointments? What are our values, and how do practice them? What are our major focus for the new year?

It really helps to focus on what direction our life takes, and although I take no credit in its success; I think it really does allow one to focus and build upon dreams and goals. Its fun to see when things went well. It's sobering to see where we fell short.

I think its a good tool to guide us on our journey. After all, "To get a thing you have never had before, you must do something you have never done before!" It's a Karma sentiment!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my friends and family! Its been a very busy month, and things are just starting to settle back to normal! Our vacation lasted 23 days, and I must admit, that's a bit much!

Toni and I went around the world, first stop Sydney, Australia, then Hong Kong...then at last London, England; before returning to the states.

The Australians love Americans! The Hong Kong people love us, and the British, (well, the Brit's couldn't give a crap less!) But hey, that's a surprise to no-one!
Life is slowly getting back to normal, state-side!
