I'm Free (Well, at least for 6 months...)

Good morning readers...Pat here with a check-up update. Yup! I'm free again! (At least for another six months!) Cancer-free, that is. It's been two years since my cancer scare, and I'm grateful for the good news every time I go for a check-up.

I had my date for the doctor visit bounced back twice, so I was pretty sure it was going to be alright, but you never really feel OK, until you hear those words from the doctor.

So good news, thanks for keeping me in your prayers! Now it's my cousin Jill's turn!

Chin up, kiddo! (I'm pullin' for you!) ;)

Buffy (-) Joss Whedon (=) Not Happy

A while back I posted how I had heard rumors thaty a New "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie was being considered. At the time, I was very happy! Well, alas; no more!

Joss Whedon, a fabulous writer and creator of the Buffy franchise will NOT be a part of the new movie!

For those of you who don't know, Joss has for many years created very memorable shows. (He was the script writer for the first Toy Story Pixar movie!) But, years ago when starting out in Hollywood, he signed away the rights to Buffy, in order to produce the film.

Without Joss, it ain't really a Buffy movie! Earth to Warner Brothers; no one cares for a Buffy movie if Joss isn't involved!

The Prayer

What a beautiful morning. I got up, had some coffee, wandered over to Facebook where I saw this amazing video. Have you ever heard of Rhema Marvanne? She made the Internet a while back singing Amazing Grace. We'll she's recorded a new song, written by her called, "The Prayer".

Whats New?

High gang! Pat here with a D&D update! I've been known to make these little projects while Toni is out of town, and this one is no exception. I started making the mountains on Monday and Tuesday while Toni is gone. I continued, on and off, through out the week! It is finished, and so I preview it here. Behold, the mountain fortress of the dwarfs!

I know, I know. What a nut, huh?

Getting ready for Harry Potter

Yes its that time of the year where I get ready for the annual Harry Potter movie. I started enjoying the Harry Potter series, after my sister-in-law Mary, introduced me to the books and films. (We we're visiting in Kentucky, and went to see the first Harry Potter film!)

I was hooked. It is a wonderful series, and I'm sorry that so many demonize the films as a witchcraft primer! The truth is, it's just a tale about good triumphing over evil! (And the truth is, its wonderfully crafted!)

So since Monday night, and every night through Saturday, I'll be watching some Harry Potter movies, to refresh my memory what has transpired so far in the story! I can't wait to see the new film!

Good morning gentle readers. Pat here! Well, Toni's off again on another trip. This time to Canada. She'll be back Wednesday! So I sit and drink my morning coffee, and think; gee, what am I gonna' do today! We got the leaves done Saturday! But I thought as we raked, I might want to mow one more time! So yard work it is.
