I had a thought about the John Carter Warlord of Mars series. I think I've read somewhere that Disney has bought the rights to this property. Well...Years ago, when I was a kid, I found a book, The Chessmen of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Now I was familiar with Tarzan, but I had never heard of John Carter of Mars! As I read the book, I fell in love with the story, and its characters.
Now after seeing Avatar; I am convinced they have the ability to bring the Mars series to life! My thought was this; "How strange that this property, that has been abandon for the last 60 years, will finally get its day on the big screen, just in time to make Disney a lot of money"!
