Back from China!

Hi faithful readers, Pat here with a Toni related update! Well, she's back at last. Toni recently finished a week long trip to China. She had a whirl-wind week traveling from various factories inspecting facilities and closely watching their work practices.

She's thrilled to be back, and had a good, productive week! Here's a picture on the last day of the trip. Too bad we don't read Mandarin or we'd know where she had her last Chinese meal!

Ebay, learning the art of the sell!

Hi all. Pat here with an info blog. Last month I started selling some of the old collectibles that I've accumulated over the years. Or as Toni would call it, "Why do you have all this crap?"  I have finally took the hint, and have decided to get rid of the stuff!

So I have taken to ebay, the on-line auction house to sell my things, and I must say, I am impressed. To date I've sold 10 items for a neat little sum, and over-all, it's been pretty hassle free. It's easy to do, and the web-site has lots of tips to help you sell stuff.

The best part is, now I'm buying new crap, er...I mean collectibles. It's a Feng Shui thing!

Sorry for not writing!

Wow! It took me a couple of tries, and a couple of weeks to simmer down enough to get back to writing in my blog!

In August I changed the password, and then it wouldn't work! It took me an hour to back-track, re-enter, and low and behold, NOTHING! It still didn't work. (At that point, I said to myself, forget this! And gave up!)

Finally, cooler thinking prevailed, and I got thru the tedious process of resending/ setting a new password.  All that to say; not too much new is happening in Battle Creek! Toni is currently visiting her sisters in Phoenix while Chris and I hold down the fort. I promise, I'll be more careful with the password. I just wish Google stopped changing protocols with the damn site!

Well I said I'd post some more paintings that I've worked on this summer. I've been attempting to do a picture a week to learn some new techniques. Its pretty hard, but very satisfying. Click on a picture to make them bigger!

What's New in Town

Well the hot, sticky days of August have arrived. Battle Creek is settling in to a regular pattern of rain, followed by hot humid days which translate into air-conditioned days.
Toni has been working like crazy, and has not been able to take any time off this summer. She has five weeks of vacation coming, and maybe we'll take a little time off, and visit Milwaukee in the fall when she gets the chance.

Chris is contemplating going for his Masters degree. He still is working full-time at Arcadia Brewing, but wants to do more.

I've settled in and have been painting one Acrylic painting a week all summer long. I'll post the latest picture soon. Maybe some starry night! (Hint! Hint!)

On the Town returns to Broadway!

The Garden update

I told you all how we've been rehabbing the yard this year. Toni has been working especially hard. The results, a fabulous, lush, beautiful deck and yard that is a pleasure to be in.
