Weather woes!

Wow! The weather has really been playing havoc for Gardner's. Last week, I took Toni to the local Greenhouse to buy flowers for our yard. (The week before had between in the 70's and 80's). So naturally, no sooner do we get home and start to hang our baskets, plant our flowers, then the temperature drops below freezing. Current situation with the flowers...let's just say, it ain't pretty! Thank goodness we didn't buy more then we did. So our losses won't be too bad.

Old TV Shows Part II

There was an old '70's cartoon called "The Wacky Races" by Hanna-Barbera, that featured several race car drivers including Dick Dastardly & Muttley!

Here is an Italian ad that knows a great cartoon when they see one. It's very funny. Lets watch!

Old TV Shows

Once upon a time, I realized a lot of my favorite TV shows used a laugh track, to convince the viewer that the show was funnier. (Laughter is contagious!) That reality, spoiled a lot of the fun for me.

Only, it isn't true. Not always. A bunch of the old TV shows were in fact filmed before a live TV audience, and later...might have a sound bite or two added to punctuate a scene. The result was, you'd often hear the same laugh bite or giggle on various shows.

Here's a show that I never knew was filmed before a live audience.

Toni's Trip

 Toni is currently visiting Hong Kong. By the time you read this, she'll have travelled on to the main land, where she will be inspecting Chinese manufacturing plants. She comes home on the  18th.

Well it looks like Spring has finally sprung and there's lots to do around the yard. Toni has been a traveling gal, and she's been gone, more then she's been home this past couple of week's.

She'll be leaving again Monday on a ten day trip to China. Then at last she will stick around for a little bit. Lot's of big plans for the year...just waiting on Toni!

Happy (ahem), Spring! Plan's are afoot to clean and tidy,  to make all the preparations to welcome Michael Galligan this weekend. Mike is coming to Michigan to visit Chris for the week.

I know they have some cool plans. Go see some movies. Go visit the cool car museum, The Gilmore Car Barn, and see the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. I'm sure they'll have a good visit! 

Stan the Man

Hi true believers, "face front"! That's how Stan Lee usually addressed the Mighty Marvel Comics readers in his monthly soapbox column he wrote in the '60's! Well for those of you who don't know Stan, he is the writing genius who created most of the comic characters made famous in the pages of Marvel comics, He, along with artists Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Don Heck, created the likes of the Hulk, Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, the X-Men...and a bout a thousand more.

I bought my tickets today, to see Stan in person at the Detroit Comic Con in May. I'm excited, and I'll post an update when I meet the living legend in May. Til' then; "Excelsior!"
