News from BC

Why do I feel like this is a report from Lake Woebegone? Hi everyone. Patrick here with a Battle Creek update. Toni and I are home after a weekend of funerals and family visits, and even a little D&D.

It was a sad day, last Friday when we attended our sister-in-law's funeral for her mother. Dorthy was a sweet woman, and judging from the turnout, well-loved! Alas, only time heals the heart.

On a happier note...we did get a chance to see Brian and Ellen, my Mom and Dad, and even get a quick hello with Tim and Julia.

Now we're back in Battle Creek, and the weather definitely seems to be getting more fall-like!
Looks like its time to cut the grass again.

My New Entertainment Room (*sigh!)

Saw this one on the Internet today! A guy in GreenwichConnecticut built this as his Home Entertainment Room. It includes a Batmobile, Batsuits, 180 degree film screen, winged gargoyles, private cylindrical stainless steel elevator with glowing bat symbol, mock secret tunnel exit, Bat computers, and race-car inspired home theater chairs. Price tag, only Two $ Million Dollars! Oh well...if I ever win the lottery!

Still there!

Hi all, just a quick, lazy post about how about how I'm doing these days! Most nights, Toni and I retire to the gazebo for nice relaxing evening of music, an occasional glass of wine, and a nice game of cribbage! Sounds wonderful or boring depending on your point of view. Mine is the former!

Anyway, all is well Still there in Battle Creek!

HELLBOY pays a visit!

Hi everyone,  Pat here with a cool story of a good deed done. Recently, Ron Perlman, the actor of TV and movie fame, did a volunteer job for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Six year old Zachary's wish was to spend the day with his favorite superhero. So who'd he ask for?

NOT Batman! Not Superman. No...the kid asked for every body's favorite demon, HELLBOY!

Ron spent three hours getting into his old make-up, to spend time with his number one fan. Zachary also got made-up! He too, took his turn in the red makeup! Looks like it was a great day! Toni and I support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They do great work!

July 11, 2012

Hi all. Just wanted to write a quick blog about Toni and me! Yesterday was our 37th Anniversary. Yup! On a rainy Friday back in 1975, Toni and I were married at the now vanquished St. Stevens Church!
We were going to celebrate last night, but Toni and I were both bushed, so tonight...we're going to celebrate the occasion with crab legs and craft beer. Yummy!

So what cha' doin'?

Just finished a little water color project I started Sunday. It's based on the video game "Skylander".
The sweet characters from this fun kid's video game are, (from left to right);
Gill Grunt, Stealth Elf (lower), Spyro (higher), and Trigger Happy!

Just wanted to splash some color on paper on such a hot day!

Looks like a job for...

Hi gentle readers. Pat here with a little video to make your day a little brighter! Every now and then, I write about the amateur films I find on the Internet. Today's jem is called, "Bizarro Classic", and is created by former Disney animator, Robb Pratt! This is the second film short in a series, he has created.

I'd love to see more! So let's watch!
